I've had a lot of people message me lately asking for instructions on how to get into our irc channel, so here's how you do it. One warning though, we have a really nice bunch of people in #e107, once you join you'll never leave mwaaahAHAHAH etc etc So, first off, head off to http://mirc.com/ and download mIRC. It's the most popular win32 IRC client and is very easy to set up and use. Once you've downloaded and installed it, run it and the configuration options will open. You need to choose a server, so in the top listbox, find Freenode. If it isn't there, click on Add, and enter Freenode, irc.freenode.net, 6667 and Freenode in the repective boxes, then click Add. Now select the Freenode server you just entered. Now in the boxes below enter your nickname and an alternative in case yours is already taken. Click on OK and the box will close. Now click on the Connect icon (top left of the icon bar at the top) and you'll connect to freenode.net. Ok, you're nearly there. In the main window, type /join #e107 and press enter - hey presto you just entered the home of lost e107 souls! So now you know how theres no reason not to drop by, even if its just toi say hi. It's a friendly channel so dont worry, but remember once you've joined you'll never be able to leave mwahaaAHAHAHAH *cough*
